Know Hope's urban cut-out installations have become a local cult in Tel Aviv-Jaffa. When one stumbles upon them, one finds oneself immediately engaged. They offer themselves up as performances of giving. The immediacy and communicative quality of his work is able to touch passers-by. A scene unfolds - often as strong need to communicate is delivered through the works - a cut-out figure leaning on a lamppost, a tree or a wall, holding something, offering its heart. Combining three-dimensional graffiti art, activist tones, poetic gestures and texts referring to love and loss, with Know Hope's work we feel we are no longer strangers.
